Veteran organization of the company was founded in November 1967 on the initiative of retired activists with the support of the trade union committee. The organization quickly grew numerically and organizationally, and in January 1969 was elected to the Board of Veterans of 11 people, and was elected chairman of the board Turasevich Michail Andreevich. From 1987 to 1997, the Council of the veteran organization of the company was headed by Nikolay Andreyevich Stretovych, a man with a huge head experiences during the Great Patriotic War (the chief of staff of the partisan detachment in the Kharkov region) and in peacetime (vice chief engineer of the enterprise). Since 1997, the Council is currently headed by company veteran organization Harevich Pavel Aleksandrovich with 55 years experience in the enterprise.
In 1994 he was drafted and adopted at a general meeting "the Charter of the veteran organization of the enterprise" based on "Charter of Union war veterans' organizations and labor," published in the publication December 17, 1986. In 1992, the veteran organization celebrated its 25th anniversary. Order of General Director Anatoliy Alexandrovich Bugayets was financially encouraged 59 of the most active members. Based on the "Charter of the veteran organization of Ukraine" adopted by the Second Congress veteran organizations in Ukraine 28.02.1996, drafted and approved at a general meeting of veterans of 01/10/2000, the new "Charter of the veteran organization of “Turboatom ". 23rd November 2007 the organization celebrated its 40th anniversary and, therefore, an order was issued, V.G. In compliance with the existing Charter Veterans Council every four years, reports on its work at the general meeting (conference) of its veteran organization and at the same time elected a new Board of Veterans. September 12, 2011 was held on 19th report-back election conference of the veteran organization with a report of the Council of Veterans and the Audit Commission, held a certain rotation of the board, approved a new Board of Veterans and the Audit Commission. In 2012, the veteran organization of "Turboatom" marks the 45th anniversary of its formation. As of 01.02.2012, in the veteran organization of the company is registered 1586 people, including women - 950 men – 636, combatants BOB - 72, participants in the Second World War (home front) - 312, Children of War - 849 , people with disabilities in different categories - 146. Number of pensioners by age, years: 50 - 6 51-60 - 86 61-70 - 385; 71-80 - 716; 81-90 - 376 and more than 90 - 15, mean age - 75.4 years. Number of pensioners on length of service in the enterprise, years: 10 - 49 11-20 - 155; 21-30 - 247; 31-40 - 588; 41-50 - 418; 51-60 - 127 and more than 60 - 2. Veteran organization formed by former employees living in all parts of the city of Kharkov and region, and therefore there are certain difficulties in the Veterans Council for the transfer of necessary information, as well as 85 senior citizens living in areas of the region and live in Kharkov 52 pensioner do not have telephones. Veteran organization considers its main goal - to provide comprehensive protection of legal rights, social, economic, age and other interests of the members of their organization.
