The veterans organization of the enterprise was established in November , 1967 at intiative of pensioners with a support of the trade union committee. The organization quickly encresed in quantity and in January, 1969 the veterans board was elected in quantity of 11 men and Turasevich Mikhail Andreyevich was appointed as chairman of the board.

Since 1987 till 1997 Stretovich Nikolai Andreyevich was at the head of the veterans organazition board, a man with a large life experience as a head during the Great Patriotic war and in peaceful time.
In 1994 “The statute of the veterans organization of the enterprise” was developed and adopted at the general meeting on the basis of “The stute of the Allunion organization of war and labour veterans ” published in Mass Media in December, 17 of 1986.
In 1992 the veterans organization celebrated the 25th anniversary and 59 more active members of the organization were rewarded materially by the order of general director.
On the basis of "The statute of the veterans organization of Ukraine, adopted by the second convention of the veterans organization of Ukraine on 28.02.1996, the new “Statute of the veterans organization of “Turboatom” OJSC” was developed and approved at the general meeting of veterans on 10.01.2000.
In November, 23 of 2007 the organization celebrated its 40 th anniversary and in view of it the order of Subbotin V.G., General Director, was issued of reward of veterans-mensioners who are taking an active part in the organization activity.
It was rewarded 202 men totally by various forms of reward.
Since 1997 up to present time Kharevich Pavel Aleksandrovich has been at the head of the enterprise’s veterans organization.
As on 12.03.2009 1425 men are enrolled in the enterprise’s veterans organization, including 853 woment, 572 men , 106 men - participants of operations of the Great Patriotic warั, 412 men - participants of the Great Patriotic war (workers of home front), 745 men - children of war, 135 men - invalids of different categories.
The quantity data of pensioners in age, years: under 70 – 411men, 71-80 – 685 men. 81-90 – 317 men, over 90 – 9 men, average age - 74,25.
The data as for record ofservice at the enterprise , years: under 10 – 38 men, 11-20 – 129 men, 21-30 – 242 men, 31-40 -535 men,41 -50 – 367men, over 50-111men.
The veterans organization is formed out of the fomer enterprise’s employees dwelling in all districts of Kharkov an region and in view of it there are certain difficulties in the Board of veterans to communicate a necessary information as 67 pensioners are dwelling in the districts of Kharkov region and 114 pensioners living in Kharkov are not on the telephone at home.
Communication with such pensioners is realized mainly with a help of post correspondence.
