OJSC "Turboatom" continues the process of manufacturing equipment for Egorlikskaya HPP-2 (resid. Levoegorliskiy in Stavropol’skiy kray, Russia)

On February 2010 OJSC "Turboatom" made and dispatched to the customer scroll and mechanisms of the turbine No3 for Egorlikskaya HPP-2, entering in the cascade of Kubanskih HPP on the river Egorlik.

The contract was concluded in July 2008. According to the contract’s conditions "Turboatom" provides designing, manufacturing and delivery at Egorlikskaya HPP-2 the fourth Francis turbines with nominal output 3 MW with diameter of the runner 1, 9 m. Besides, the specialists of "Turboatom" will make supervise erection and technical management by starting-up and adjustment operations.

Today the plant works at manufacturing the runner of hydro set No3, wicket gate, scroll and mechanisms of the turbine No4. Till the end of April OJSC "Turboatom" is planning to finish the work at this contract. The commissioning of the first set is planned for the end of the current year.

The first hydro turbines of OJSC "Turboatom" production for Kubanski cascade were established at Barsuchkovskaya HPP No3 and No4 in 1968-1969 yet. Now these sets have already worked its service life and need in updating. During period from 1991 to 1996 "Turboatom" made reconstruction of the equipment, made by the other manufacturer at the first plants of the cascade Kubanskiy HPP.

Reference:  In the Cascade of Kubanski HPP of the eight hydro power stations and the first Pumped-Hydro Storage Plant – all of the diversion type, situated in the beds of Bolshoy Stavropolskiy and Nevinnomisskiy canals and it is its main part. HPSP, HPP1, HPP-2, HPP-3 and HPP-4 situated in Bolshoy Stavropolskiy canal, diversion unit of the canal is situated near Yst’-Dgeguta city. The total capacity of the cascade Kubanski HPP is 462, 3 MW, of which 230, 13 MW – the capacity of the equipment, supplied by OJSC "Turboatom".
