OJSC "Turboatom" supplied spare parts for HPP Thak Ba (Vietnam)

In the end of 2009 OJSC "Turboatom" concluded the contract of the delivery spare parts for hydroturbines HPP Thak Ba. "Turboatom" will make broaden capital repairs of Kaplan turbine with unit capacity 37 MW and with diameter of runner 4, 5 m.

After reconstruction the capacity of hydrounit will increase to 41 MW. To the nomenclature of spare parts is included kinematics of the wicket gate, mechanisms of blade turn runner, blades compaction, details of servomotors and other positions.

The terms of equipment delivery is 14 months.

The delivery of hydroturbine equipment to HPP Thak Ba began in 1965. Today three hydroturbines of the enterprise OJSC "Turboatom" are established at the station. Before, in 2006-2008, OJSC "Turboatom" participated in repair-and-renewal operations on the first and on the second hydroset HPP Thak Ba.

Reference: HPP Thak Ba , installed capacity 108 MW (3x36 MW), was built in Vietnam on the river Chae with technical cooperation ex USSR, and one of the first in the country provided electric supply of Northern districts.
