OJSC "Turboatom" was announced as the winner in tender for equipment delivery for TPP Aksu (Kazakhstan)

On the 26th of January 2010 OJSC "Turboatom" was announced as the winner of tender for equipment delivery for the unit No 4 TPP Aksy. Technical commercial proposal of the enterprise was accepted by the customer and was admitted the best one.

At TPP is planned the replacement of K-300-240 set into the turbine of the new generation K-325 with capacity increase for 25 MW. It is the fourth turbine at Aksu, which “Turboatom” updates. The previous experience was successful and the customer thanked OJSC “Turboatom” for the quality and on-time deliveries of the equipment.

Concluding the contract is planning on February 2010. The delivery of the equipment should be finished at the first half year of 2011. Obligations of the enterprise are included design works, assembly, contract supervision and technical following of balancing and commissioning.

At all eight units TPP Aksu, beginning from 1968, were established steam turbines of   OJSC “Turboatom” manufacturing.

Reference: TPP “Aksu” is a member of JSC “Eurasian Power Corporation” and supplies at Kazakhstan market 20% of electric power. JSC “Eurasian Power Corporation” (Aksu city of Pavlodar region, Kazakhstan) is one of the main producers of electric power, which has its own fuel and repair station. Corporation was set up on the base of Aksu TPP and property complex “Vostochniy” of Ekibastuz coal deposit and has been already working at the power market for 11 years.
