OJSC "Turboatom" continues updating of foundry

OJSC "Turboatom" continues updating of foundry. On December 2009 the enterprise concluded a contract with Italian company IMF for the delivery of the equipment for casthouse (№ 50)

According to the contract during 6 months IMF will make the delivery of portable agitator, knocking-out grate, vibration exciter, the station of reprocessing and jet transport. Parties accorded the final planning of the equipment place, it will be on forming area of the 50^th workshop. At this stage IMF is making plan of technical document.

Last year for increasing quality of foundry metallurgists of the enterprise manufactured and implemented technical process of raw foundry with the use of heat insulators and antisticked covers. According to the use of anthracite, the quantity of harmful impurity of sulfur and phosphorus has been decreased in the steel. Besides, for 20-30% decreased the capacities of using liquid steel for foundry.

 Software was installed “Magma Soft” for manufacturing of technical processes, except occurrence of defects during formation, foundry and crystallization of details.

In the plans of “Turboatom” reconstruction of gas thermal furnace, which allows improving the quality of thermal processing and decreasing gas flow and also reconstruction of steel furnace to work at direct current, which give the possibility to reduce costs for electric power, reduce the quantity of harmful emissions to the atmosphere and charges of alloying materials. Since 2010 OJSC “Turboatom” intends to update thermal furnace with 30 t. spaciousness.

To update foundry the plant will direct 1 Million Euro.

In 2009 to technical extension the enterprise invested 18, 2 Million hryvnas, in 2010 it is planned to increase the amount of money up to 31 Million hryvnas.
