Turbine of a new generation

In 2009 OJSC "Turboatom" advanced work "Creation of steam turbines of new generation with capacity 325 MW" nominated for State Award in Area of Science and Technics.

This project solves most important scientific – technics and practical problem in power engineering of Ukraine. Today in country there is necessity to upgrade or fully replace old turbines at 39 power units of TPP. Solution of this task "Turboatom" consider in creation of steam turbines of new generation К-325-23,5 with capacity 325 MW, intended for replacement of sets К-300-240 and К-300-240-2 and for new Power Units of Thermal Power Plants which are under construction. Meanwhile country will get additionally 25-40 MW on each Power Unit and save 3-5 % of burned fuel.

Turbines with capacity 325 MW successfully implement in last year in Ukraine: at Pridneprovskaya TPP, Zmievskaya TPP (Power Unit No. 8) jointly with Siemens, Zuev TPP (Power Unit 2), and also 4 turbines at TPP Nankin and Incou in China, 3 turbines at TPP Aksu in Kazakhstan and 1 turbine at Novocherkassk TPP, Russia.

At present time in workshops of the pant new turbines with similar capacity are manufacturing for Power Unit No 1 Zuev TPP, Power Unit No 8 Novocherkassk TPP. Under results of international tender in May 2009 contract for supply of two turbines in Iran was signed
