Markets and scopes of supply

Turbines made by OJSC “Turboatom” successfully operates at Power Plants more than 45 countries of Europe, Asia, America and Africa.

Over 260 steam turbines with total capacity over 60 mln. kW were manufactured for Thermal Power Plants, 55 turbines for 16 TPP of distant foreign countries.

For 24 NPP were manufactured 169 turbines with total capacity over 60 mln. kW, 40 turbines for 7 NPP of distant foreign countries.

“Turboatom” supplied 13% of turbines for NPP from total scope of supply at NPP turbine market and takes the 4th place between turbine-building companies, in the world.

In Ukraine 3 acting NPP (Zaporozhskaya, Uzhno-Ukrainskaya, Rovenskaya) completed with 12 “Turboatom” turbines with capacity 220,1000 and 1100MW.

At 100 HPPs of fourth continents over 400 hydroturbines with total capacity near 32 mln. kW and 450 hydrovalves for HPP and pump plants were supplied.

Cooperation

“Turboatom” accumulated positive experience of cooperation with turbine-building companies of the world – “Siemens” (Germany), “Alstom-Power” (International Concern) etc., in supply of power equipment, including: “Pournari” HPP (Greece), “Aguamilpa” HPP (Mexico) and “El Cajon” HPP (Mexico), “Tehri” HPP (India), modernization of Unit No.8, with capacity 300 MW of Zmiev TPP (Ukraine).

Manufacturing of steam turbines in Ukraine started in 1934 after finishing of Kharkov Turbine-Generator Plant building.

Today manufacturing of steam turbines is complete cycle of equipment creating: research, development efforts, manufacturing, testing, supervise erection, starting-up and adjustment, technical-engineering maintenance, providing of repair works, modernization of equipment during operation.

At the enterprise works whole laboratories for testing of materials, turbine elements systems in accordance wit international norms.

Technical level of OJSC “Turboatom`s” steam turbines is characterized by high performance index and high availability factor.

High quality of production was reached due to constant improvement.

During the process of designing of new designs and manufacturing of turbines using newest achievements of theoretical and experimental research and development works with a glance preservation succession and unification on the basis of know-how.

Enterprise has unique research base, what perform full scale and model development most critical units for ensuring required aerodynamic, vibratory, strength properties.

Research runs on two directions: mathematical research of parameter-oriented models of parts and units, physical research of models and full scale of turbine components.

For the purpose of execution of experimental works package there are big numbers of test benches, which equipped with devices of electronic data processing.

Enterprise cooperates with scientific-research and research and development organizations of Ukraine and Russia.
